My wife and brother-in-law and I have just returned from 10 fabulous days on St. John. I have created a web gallery of photos from our recent stay, and anyone who is interested can take a look at:

Absolutely beautiful. A wonderful alternative to the yesterday's snow storm and Monday's impending storm!
Thanks.
Very...very..... beautiful....
What is "Aria"? Is it the name of a villa?
Yes, Aria is the name of the villa we stayed in. We rented it through Caribbean Villas - and loved it.

Ken, Great shots. Technical question, here.
Tell me how you achieved the level of saturation. Polorizer? Pump up the saturation in Photoshop? or combo of the two?
It's very Velvia film like.
Good stuff.

Wonderful pictures. I have been looking at Aria also for June, but it is booked. I see that Happy Moon is a neighboring villa. Did you see it? If so, how does it compare to Aria?
Thanks
The pics were beautiful. Thanks for posting and putting an early am smile on my face
We never saw Happy Moon, but it was another that we looked at before we left. Check out Bayview. It is just down the road also and looked beautiful from what we could see from the outside. I will say that the area is great. The view (obviosly) is fantastic. But it is also very close to Coral Bay (about 5 minutes by car) and close to the North Shore (Maho is about 5 minutes). What I really liked was how quiet it was in this area. When we were in the villa, the only sounds we heard were the crickets.
Wow, Great pictures. Thanks for sharing!!
I'm also curious about how folks get the best color in their exposure(s). We have a pretty decent digital point and shoot, and it takes good pics, but I've been mulling over whether there is a good filter to buy that would help the colors come through better in the strong tropical sun. Anybody have suggestions?
Great photos - thanks for sharing. We are going there NEXT week. This will be our 7th year. I was "photo-ed" out until I saw your inspirations. I will also be trying out a new digital camera. Would you recommend a polarized filter? While you show many beautiful spots, I will gladly suggest others for your next trip.
Ron,
I would definitely recommend a poloarizing filter for your camera. All of the water shots were taking with a polarizer in this gallery (if I remember correctly). When you get back, shoot me an email at [email protected] and I can give you some hints that I have found in the post-processing department to really bring out the blues and greens.
I'd love to hear about some new spots. Sometimes I had to leave the photo gear in the villa when we were going to isolated places to snorkel. Bummer! We will definitely be returning next winter (my wife wants to return today), so I look forward to any suggestions you have.
