Checking for recommendations for day trips from St John to BVI's. This one http://newhorizonscharters.com/ looks like a good mix of locations, etc. Anyone been on a trip with them? Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

We've been on two BVI trips with Captain John Brandi (www.palmtreecharters.com) and have another one scheduled next month. His boat is in excellent condition, it's fast, and he'll take you where you want to go based on your interests. You didn't say how many were in your party, but if it's 6 or less, I give a (tu) to Captain John.

Thanks for your tips - it's just my adult daugther and I. We're not looking to charter the boat for just the 2 of us. We want to join a trip on a small boat with other passengers. On a budget you know, best option we found around $275 (total for us both) plus customs fees. We'll be down 1 st week in July and I want to take her to Baths,Jost, etc. We were going to just take direct ferry from STJ to VG and taxi to Baths for the day. I started doing the math and for a little more we could hop on a boat and with no schleeping, multiple stops, beverages, snacks, etc. Right? Keep the tips coming - thanks.

The Calypso has just added a powerboat (the Bad Kitty) to their fleet and they offer a day trip that includes the Baths, Cooper Island and Jost. We've been on their sailboat several times for Jost & Norman Island day trips and loved it. We're going to be on STJ again next month and are already signed up for a Bad Kitty trip to give it a try. I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter who you end up going with, the Baths & Jost are wonderful. Here is the Calypso website: http://www.calypsovi.com/
