Has anyone ventured to St. John's and taken the Starfish Tropical tour for 4 hours? We are staying on Water Island and have never visited St. John's, so I thought this may be the way to go. Any feedback would help. Thanks

I have never heard of it.

St John is a great place to explore but you certainly can do it on your own. Take the ferry over and get a taxi to Trunk or Cinnamon Bay, spend some time snorkeling and sunning, then you can use the showers there to clean up and take a taxi back to town.
Meander around, do some shopping, have a bit to eat and a frosty adult beverage and then take the ferry back.

Also, just a friendly reminder that St. John has no S 🙂

OK, just looked them up - still don't know them 🙂

I work at the ferry dock 3 mornings per week and have never seen anyone with that sign but I do know you can get the same 2 hour island tour for $25.00 with any taxi driver instead of their $30.00 price but it will not be private (I'm not sure they would take 1 person for a private either) you will be in with other visitors.

If you have enough people I know many wonderful taxi drivers that you could arrange a private with - just let me know and I'll forward you their number.

Hi Pia,

I was looking at the Star Fish company for a tour of St. John's when I saw your post. We were looking for a tour of St. Johns where we can see the island and maybe try some tropical fruit then some swim/snorkel time at a nice beach like Trunks Bay or Cinnamon. I saw that you can arrange for guides at are good (friendly) and reasonable in price. Is there any way you can help me. My family and I will be arriving on August 30th, 2011. We have 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 9,7,5 and a baby). Please let me know if you can recommend anyone. I know that we can find many many taxi drivers there but someone who is recommended is someone i'd prefer. That way from the minute we arrive to the minute we leave I don't have to worry about anything since I have 4 young kids to worry about. Thanks for your time Pia.
