First of all this was my third time to St John in a year I have been very fortunate! First was on a cruise stop, second was my honeymoon, and this last time was with a group of friends. There were six of us and we are all in our mid twenties.
Saturday we stayed in St Thomas cause the house wasn't available till Sunday. We stayed at Emerald Beach it was OK for a night.
Sunday next morning we took the ferry to St John and picked up the car from Conrad Sutton's and we headed to Windspree in Coral Bay. Then we went to the house La Sirena. It was a rocky rough ride to get there. It was a very nice villa no A/C but the wind blows consistently. The only time it was hot was cooking or getting ready. Anyways we dropped off out suitcases and went to show our friends the beautiful beaches. We took them to Hawk nest and they loved it. There were locals there entertaining us on a homemade slip and slide. Then we went to Starfish market to get some food. We stayed in and cooked the first night.
Monday we got up early and went to Cinnamon Bay. This was everyones favorite beach. We stayed there till afternoon then went back to the house to relax by the pool. We got ready and went to Cruz bay to bar hop. We ate at the banana deck and the food was great but our waiter was horrible. My husband asked for a Summer Ale and he said they didn't have any and at that moment a waitress came by and said they did (she had one in her hand) so my husband repeated he wanted and Summer Ale. The waiter said I'm sorry you must not understand me sir we don't have any. My husband got one from the nice waitress finally. Then we went to the beach bar, then Woody's, and finally the Quiet Mon.
Tuesday we went to Francis Bay and Moho Bay. I really liked Moho it was calm and pretty fish there. Then we went back to the house and had a cookout at the house with burgers and hot dogs. This is when we found out about hurricane Dean. At first it was supposed to hit us on Sat when we were to leave. We were all very scared.
Wednesday we decided to take a bunch of pictures and shop in case we had to leave. We ate lunch at the beach bar. Best fish and chips ever. The locals didn't seem to concerned about the hurricane so we decided not to worry about it either. We went to trunk bay in the afternoon but there were so many cruise people we had to leave. We ate at shipwreck landing.
Thursday we stayed at the house by the pool. We went to lunch at Aqua Bistro it was great. We relaxed at home and then went to island blues for dinner it was also great they had open Mic night so we got to hear some live music.
Friday we went Cruz bay to ask if the ferry's would be running cause of the storm. They told us we should leave and go to St Thomas for the night so we went to the villa and packed up our stuff. We stared trying to find a place in St Thomas for the night and finally got a room at the Marriott. We left on the 3pm ferry and it was a good thing I heard the last ferry was at 5pm. We got to the Marriott and I felt like I was in heaven with a/c and a huge very nice resort. We had drinks in the room and got reservations at Havana Blues for dinner. Havana Blue was the highlight of the trip for me. It was great food and a very cool place.
Saturday we had breakfast buffet at the hotel then off to the airport. Took about 2 hours to get through all the lines so go early. I will never fly on a Saturday again.
All in all a good trip. Hurricane Dean tried to put a damper on it, but it turned out to be fine. If I go with multiple couples again I would rent two jeeps instead of one vehicle. I would also get a villa with a/c just cause I like to be cooled off when I come in from the beach.

Great pictures - looks like the villa was perfect (other than the cool refreshing A/C). I hope you are already planning your return trip because 3 times is a great start, but no place to end!
