Are Chateau Bordeaux, Asolare, and Paridiso all in the same complex?
They are all listed together on one website. IF we get to St John for a tour, I would like to try one of these.
Thanks,
Ellen

Hello Ellen,

No they are not in the same complex.

Chateau Bordeaux - is on Bordeaux Mountain
Asolare - on the hillside overlooking Cruz Bay, Caneel Bay Hill I think it is called.
Paradiso - in Cruz Bay

Thanks Islander! Any idea which one would have the best view, and allows patrons to wear nice shorts (and tops) 🙂

Of these, both Chateaux Bordeaux and Asolare have fantastic views. Very different: CB sits atop one of the highest points on the island, facing east, so you have a very long range panorama including mountains, coastline, BVI, Drake's Passage etc. On the other hand, the view from Asolare is perched on a hillside just above and to the side of Cruz Bay, it looks over the bay itself and looks toward town, also in view are all of the twinkling lights of the east end of STT across the water.

Another restaurant with a neat setting is Lucy's By The Sea which is about 10 minutes south of Coral Bay... a bit of a trek from Cruz Bay.

CB is my first choice, however, I'm concerned that they may frown upon patrons wearing shorts.

Would any of these restaurants have a sunset view?

Thanks for your help.

Ellen: Sunset view restaurants would be Asolare and Zozo's.

Thank you EE!! Asolare it is then!
Now, if I can just get over to St John after all this, I'll have it made! 🙂
You folks on this board have been just wonderful, I never could have planned this trip without all your help. Thank you so much!

The new place that opened in Pastory Gardens, Compass Rose has a wonderful sunset view. I think that there are free drinks at sunset (at least there were last week). It's a lovely setting and the minature golf area is beautiful, waterfalls and all. Another plus for the place is the large parking lot! Food is pretty good.

I may have missed this somewhere else... where is Compass Rose? I can't picture where either the Pastory Gardens or the mini golf are...

thanks!

Pastory Gardens:
Located on Centerline Rd. Not far from town. Go left at the Texaco station and continue up the hill. Read recently that the Texaco station might be moved to another location so that they can redesign the intersection.
