My wife and I are in the process of planning a last minute trip to the Caribbean and we are torn between the 2. We went to St. John a few years back and really enjoyed the quiet and clean aspects of the island. We have no interest in discos or clubs but good restaurants and beach bars are a requirement as are good isolated beaches that you can drive to. As a point of reference we went to Tortola last year and although we enjoyed it, we had to give the nod to St. John for our preference. Tortola was a little rough around the edges and Roadtown was not an attractive place to explore. The beaches were fantastic though. At any rate, any info or insight is appreciated. Thanks!
