Hi, everyone!

Another villa question - Does anyone have a recommendation for a villa in St. John that has an outdoor shower and a pool or hot tub?

My husband & I are anxious to try villa accomodations and would love to have an outdoor shower & either a pool or hot tub, preferrably the pool. We are leaning more towards a sunset side location versus the sunrise (east coast). But, of course, we would welcome all suggestions.

As noted, a one bedroom is all that we need, but we would definately take a two bedroom, if it had the other accomodations that are too good to pass up.

Thanx in advance for your suggestions!

Check out Siempre Azul. My wife and I really loved this place. One bedroom with outdoor shower and hot tub. Tones of privacy! But it's on the sunrise side!

Check out these 2 both on the eastern side. Windwardside villa at www.calabashcottages.com. I stayed there 2 years ago and highly recommend it extremelely nice, very private, hot tub no pool. Also
LaSirena villa at www.windspree.com. I haven't seen it in person but I have it booked for my next trip.

Sago Cottage is another Calabash Cottage. It's wonderful for a couple.

Hi Sue.

I've marked those that I've personally visited with a *.

On STJ with pools and outdoor showers in some form:

*Moon Cottage (Coral Bay)
1 bed
2 baths
Outdoor showers

Winsome House (Ajax Peak)
2 beds
2 baths
Has showers with a Sea View - not totally outdoors - shower opens out onto patio

*The Retreat (Haulover Bay)
2 beds
2 baths
Outdoor showers

Beyond The Sea (Mariah Bluff)
2 beds
2.5 baths
shower opens out to sea view (I think this is the guest bath shower, not the master bed showers - I can confirm if interested)

*Sea Turtle (Fish Bay)
2 beds
3 baths
Again, another shower that OPENS out to a patio - pretty much outside.

My personal favs are Moon Cottage and The Retreat.

Thank you all!

I checked out all of your suggestions and they were great. Unfortunately, we are going at the busiest week in April and so many of your excellent recommendations were already booked.

La Sirena looked amazing - so did Moon Cottage.

Even though we weren't able to book any of your suggested villas - it sure was helpful in getting me to sites of agencies and also getting me to think more about the location & amenities that we really wanted & needed for our villa.

I knew it had to have a pool, a sunset view, an outdoor shower and A/C at least in the bedrooms. We also wanted to be closer to the Cruz Bay side.

One of the villas I came across was Perelandra and was intrigued by it - called Carefree Getaways - and - you guessed it - already booked for a portion of the week that we needed.

The person there was awesome & was very patient suggesting other choices for us.

We are happy to say that we are renting Cielo Vista on Gifft Hill for 6 nites. Carefree Getaways was even helpful enough to be able to prorate the weekly rate & let us have the villa only for the 6 nites that we needed. We are incredibly happy with our choice & Carefree Getaways has already been wonderful to deal with. If you are looking for any villa suggestions, give them a call and ask for Moe (or Steve). Moe was so helpful and really sounded pleased to help me. (Probably because we are both from MA.) Just kidding - she sounded like she would be nice to everyone.

Truthfully, I was getting a little worried, as I was coming up with so many road blocks. I thought that I would never find a good match. And I believe we got an incredible price for all of the amenities that we will have.

Again, thank you all for your suggestions! Now I get to have fun planning things to do.

Only 8 short months to go. (Oh, boy - it is going to be rough!)
