Similar to our concerns about water temps in late November (Thanksgiving), does anyone have any helpful comments regarding rain in November. Historical averages show November to be the rainiest month. Any comments or tips from those with experience and/or knowledge?
When we were there last November, we only had a brief shower one day (it may have rained overnight at other times). Obviously, this November could be different. I think I remember people talking down there then that there was a lot of rain a few weeks before we were there.

Hello Scott,
Yes November is the month we expect and usually have the most rainfall for the year. Keep in mind the average in November is still only around 5 inches of rain - so we aren't talking about monsoons here, just more rain then other months.
It does depend greater on the weather systems in the area. Our typical rain showers are brief, often early morning. During the rainier months we might have rain off and on throughout the day. And we can and have had all day rain in November, for example 2 years ago in November we had record breaking rainfall that caused flooding. That said we have also experienced Novembers with so little rain as to be considered a drought.
Our rainy November does not mean we have rain all month long, every day. Historically speaking yes it is possible for you to have a week of sunshine with a few brief showers, and it is also possible for you to have quite a few rainy days. It’s hard to say.
Basically we get more rain in November. It isn’t very day or all day but can be for a few consecutive days if there is a system in the area and it can also be sunny with just passing showers.
Hope that helps.
