I'm writing a paper for my College class about my visit to St. John three years ago. I want to describe the night sounds at Cinnamon Bay but can't find the right words. Can you help?
Thank you,
Joanne

I hate that you asked that question. I am from Maine and have a frog pond on my property. The sound here doesn't even come close to the sound on STJ. We JUST got back from our trip and little things that I think of make me miss it already.

Your question brings me back to the night of our arrival. It was dark and wet when we headed towards Cinnamon. The sound with the windows down was over powering. We slept to that everynight.

Loud, soothing, and wild sounding. I miss it. It is most likely like that throughout the tropics, but you'll never hear that in the States.

Hello Joanne,

We carry a CD of night sounds on St. John called 'Caribbean Dawn: Nature Sounds' and had written an article about it. Its at https://www.vinow.com/news/2004/mar/naturesounds.php

You might gain some ideas for descriptive words from reading the article.

Good Luck.
