Hello,

Can anyone supply me with the name of a grocery store in St. john and where it's located? I am going to be downtown as well as on the eastern side of the island. I know where Lilly's Market is, but what other stores are there and how good are they?

thanks

Dean

There is Star Market and Dolphin Market in St. John Cruz Bay. Star in my OPINION is the better of the two and it's easy to get to. When you come off the ferry head up the hill past Woody's (on the Left), pass the school on the right and keep right of the gas station, follow the road and you'll see it up on the left. It's probably 4 or 5 blocks from the ferry. Dolphin is in the same direction but stay to the left of the gas station and it's right there on the LEFT. Dolphin is smaller, higher priced less variety. Star is much larger, a tiny bit cheaper and has a fantastic wine selection. Hope this helps.

Just so there's no confusion in finding it, it's actually named the Starfish Market. But I agree with Jill's comments...bigger and better selection.

There's another small one just before you get to the Westin. I think it's called The Simple Feast. It's in a little plaza on the right as you're heading toward the Westin on South Shore Rd. Gourmet and pricey, but they have some prepared foods in there that are very good.

Enjoy.

Also in Coral Bay is the Love City Mini Mart which has a pretty good supply of whatever you'll need.

PERFECT! I know exactly were you all are talking about. I did not know there was a store to the right of the gass station. I only knew of Dolphin, but again, heard that the starfish was better so I didn't stop. I'll definatley stock up before heading to Concordia.

thanks so much!!!
=)

Just wondering - does anyone know how late Starfish or Dolphin are open? I can't remember...
