Has anyone stayed at the St. John Inn?
Haven't stayed there but we did check it out last winter since friends were planning on staying there. We gave it the thumbs down unless you are desparate. We insisted they stay at a villa instead and they were glad they did!
We have stayed there a couple of times. Generally because we could not get into our villa when we wanted or because we wanted to stay longer. Not a villa, but not the campground either!! Would stay there again.
How was your experience at the St John Inn? I am wondering because I got a job there and will be living there also, I have recently read a few bad reviews on trip advisor which makes me a little nervous.
Any insight or pictures I would love to see/hear!
Thanks craig
It was all good. The people we dealt with were very professional and courteous. We basically just slept there, beach during the day, dinner at night, went to bed. Rooms were clean and comfy enough.
Best of luck with your new job.
Em, if you want to go to their website, they do have pictures. stjohninn.com...looks pretty good to me.
If you're lucky enough to live and work there, I think you'll be fine.
OMG..... don't hesitate take the job !! what with accomodations too !! do you know how hard it is to get an apt on st. john ? it's a pretty basic inn but i've known a few who have stayed there and the've never complained. go for it...what do you have to lose ??
We've stayed their a couple of times. If you have the right attitude it's a fine place to stay. A couple of notches up from tent camping - just kidding, but think rustic/basic - nothing fancy. The place seemed to be eaten up by termites - we saw a lot of what we believed to be termite damage in the bathroom/shower area. Overall, it seemed clean enough and we'd stay there again for short periods if necessary. The pictures on the web site are relatively accurate, but things are more rough around the edges and the view is basically of the Enighed port where the car barges now come in. It's St. John though -- a job and a place to stay - a great deal as far as I'm concerned! Have Fun!
