Hi All,
We are just now making trip plans for our 7th trip to St. John to celebrate my husband's retirement! We have always visited in June or July and now wonder what we can expect weather to be in October. I read that October is one of the rainiest months and would like to know if there is a typical daily pattern of rain/clouds or if rain persists for days in a row? We spend much of our time snorkeling so would like to know if there are places that are likely to be less cloudy from rain runoff. If anyone lives on St. John or has been down in October, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks so much!
Simple answer is, it depends. If there is no named storm (Hugo, Irene, Katrina) in the 7day forcast you can expect sunny days with maybe some rain in the evenings and mornings. Get trip insurance, because if there a tropical storm/hurricane predicted, you will NOT want to travel.
October is a beautiful time of the year, the water is still warm from summer, most restaurants are back from vacations, and prices are low.
Thanks!
