We are staying at St.Thomas for 5 days and planning on stopping over to St.John for a day with a Jeep.
Looking for must-do suggestions to maximize our visit. The only thing we have planned is to spend some time at honeymoon beach. Not sure if there are some good hikes or other areas to check out while we are there!

Lots of great things to do on STJ.
Caneel Bay grounds are beautiful.
You can walk over from Honeymoon.
Visit Trunk Bay and get in free to the Annaberg Ruins on same day. Trunk has a snorkel trail and Annaberg, stunning vistas and sugar mill ruins.
Many great beaches, hiking trails, cool shopping in town at Mongoose Junction and other places and great restaurants around the island.
You might need more than a day to explore.
There are also NPS led hikes and trips. Enjoy!

I would switch--stay on St. Thomas for two days and the rest of your time on St. John's. St. Thomas is dirty, run down and the east end stinks. Plus the locals are rude. St. John's most people are friendly, beaches are more plentiful and beautiful and you have a lot of restaurant choices. Plus it's very clean in St. John's.
