I'm a newbie to this board and beloved husband, Michael and I will be traveling to STT this Friday for our first visit!

Been a lurker for the past week since Michael found this url, wish I had found this before booking our trip; looks like a wonderful group here.

We're staying at Bolongo, fingers crossed that was a good choice. I was looking for a quiet place on the water. We haven't decided if we'll rent a car yet, thought we'd figure that out once we got there.

We'll be there 18 Nov - 24 Nov We'd love to do a get together, let know the details.

We are eagerly counting down the days to our trip! I can barely think of anything else. It's settling on me more and more though that four nights and three days really is a quick trip. I know that I won't want to come back to the cold and grey midwest. Well, I probably wouldn't want to come back even if we spent two weeks on St. John...

We (myself and boyfriend) will arrive Thanksgiving evening at the airport at 4:30ish. I'm betting by the time we get our bags and find a cab we'll end up waiting a bit for the six o'clock ferry to St. John. How long is the ferry ride?

Once we get to St. John, priority #1 is to find our rental car, then find a nice spot that's open for dinner (it is Thanksgiving after all), then make our way to Concordia in the dark (this is the part that worries me a bit). We will have flashlights for once we get there, but it's finding our way accross the island that has me a little concerned...

Friday morning we'll wake up in paradise and head to the beach to swim and snorkel! Yeah!

I will be on St John Nov 24-Dec 1. Do you have Sumer and her husband down? They will be there on the 26th.

msmarie we are anxious to hear how you like bolongo!

We will arrive in St. John after a week of sailing on the 24th. I'll be with my wife Teresa and two teenage boys. We'll be staying at the Westin.

Looking for ideas for a fun place to go Thursday night for Thanksgiving dinner (don't really care about the turkey...just the fun!)

I pulled all the dates together and it seems the 25th & 26th work well for most, followed by the 27th & 28th.

Sumerwater has suggested Sunday the 27th, around 7pm at the Beach Bar in Cruz Bay. So who's game for the 27th? 😉

There were a few that couldn't make it to the 27th but could for the 25th, so perhaps two get togethers? Anyone game for the 25th (if so what location is good for you and time)?

I will call the Beach Bar for the 27th and tell them we have a small group meeting, so you can ask the bartender or wait staff for the VInow group... or if someone wants to make a small sign that works too. (Thanks Karrieb for making it the last time. (tu) )

You're welcome "Islander" (wink, wink), I'll be wishing for a great time to be had by all and very envious!!! Getting back to the real world has been a real problem this time around but we are already talking about the next visit and will look forward to another get-together then!

Sounds good. We are leaving the next day (Monday, the 28th), and if we're not too wipped out from laying around on beautiful beaches, we'll be there.

Hi Islander,
Sorry Les and I won't be able to make the 27th as we will be off island. As far as Friday goes we will be working at the Town and Country Real Estate office in Mongoose Junction (stop in and say hi to us 🙂 ) until 9pm, as Mongoose Junction has a "open house" and all stores will be open late 🙂

My flight leaves St. Louis at 6:30 AM Thursday 11/24, so I'm going to drive up and stay overnight Wed. I'll check in before I hit the road on Wednesday. I had to scrape ice off windshields yesterday.
