We will be in St. John weekend of June 5 and understand there is a fair day (Mini and Pan-O-Rama). Can anyone advise what these are about and if worth scheduling? I'd like to get a local feel but if it is more for the tourist, there migth be better ways to spend the time.

Thanks

Hello Chris,

The Mini Fair and Pan-O-Rama and Carnival in general (all the events) cater to local residents more then visitors, who are of course welcomed. The fair usually is local food booths, carnival souvenirs (like Carnival t-shirts which are popular with the year and the slogan), music. Pan-O-Rama is more or less a concert of various steel pan bands.

Many thanks. We love steel pan and were hoping to hear some bands while there. To think they are having a festival is more than we could have hoped for. My son will be in heaven.
