*I am planning a wedding in St. John in 2007 and would like to be there during Carnival. Can you tell me what dates that would be.
I don't know when in 07 your wedding is or more importantly, who is paying for it..but I've been married 25 years (and that's a LONG time, nowadays) and I've determined that the cost of a wedding does NOT affect the longevity of a relationship. My advice: Get married in your home town where you can plan everything yourself and you're in your "comfort zone". Then HONEYMOON in St. John and have a blast!
Hello,
Angela - St. John Carnival runs for about a month. Basically July 4th is the finale; its the day of the Carnival parade & usually fireworks. All other events run for the month prior to July 4th, so basically around June 4th things get started. That said the initial events are spaced out and include the Prince and Princess Selection and Queen Selection. If you are interested in the 'busy' week when the Food Fair, J'ouvert, Village Opening, concerts in the village pretty much nightly, Calypso Shows etc. - those all happen the last 7-10 days (so the last week of June through to July 4th). I don't have the exact schedule as yet, and don't expect to have it until early next year. The above information is based on what almost always happens annually. Hope this helps.
Canoebase - 😉 & congrats on the 25 years!!
