Hello Folks..

I was planning to go to St. Croix for honeymoon and was going to stay at Carambola beach resort. I got some great feedback and comments on that plan. Because of short time we have, I am just thinking of going to Puerto Rico. The flights are working out better. How would you compare Puerto Rico with St. Croix? I am planning to stay at the Renaissance La Concha resort.

Any insights would be much appreciated...

Thank you!

Carambola is lovely. San Juan has everything St. Croix can offer, but not the other way around.

I would choose Puerto Rico. LaConcha is a beautiful hotel & located on lively & safe Ashford Avenue. Outside of the busy SanJuan area are lots of great beaches to choose from as well as the beautiful rainforest. I think PR is the best of both worlds! Congrats on the wedding!!

One thing that I think is a big difference is that when I am in stx I feel like I am on an island, which I enjoy, but even though there are some great beaches on PR It doesn't feel like an island, especially if you go even just a little bit inland. Also the architecture is nice in the old parts like old san juan but is pretty awful everywhere else.

Like apples and oranges, both have great appeal but PR is more metropolitan and STX is definitely more island.
Just depends what floats your boat, better.
