My personal choice is Off the Wall on the North Shore near Cane Bay. Diferent kinds of music every night except Monday and very good relatively inexpensive food.

I agree with Linda J, but some other options if you go into Christiansted are:

Luncheria - very decent Tex/Mex and very inexpensive. Nice courtyard.
Kim's - Local food at a very affordable price.
Bombay Club - not as inexpensive as Kim's or Luncheria, but their are several items under $10. Excellent food and the fish and chips is fresh catch of the day in a delicious batter. Portions are fairly large.

Also try Bogey's at the Cane Bay Reef Club. Nothing fancy but the prices are low and on Fridays I believe they still have a free buffet (real food, not appetizers).

Another C'sted inexpensive place is Pleasant's. Huge portions, good drinks, .50c pool.
Tell Puci and Pleasant that Mark and Eve say Hi!

Cheapish places on STX...in addition to those already mentioned...

Cheeseburgers on East End Road. There's usually some type of musical entertainment. The eponymous burgers, daily seafood specials, full bar. Kids play area. Think picnic.

In Christiansted: Rumrunners, Bombay Club, Christine's (for lunch only--the soup and the pies are AMAZING!). The brew pub is good for cheap pub food and excellent locally-brewed beer. There's also usually some type of musical entertainment there at night. Paradise Cafe is another reliable, cheap lunch or late night dining spot (just don't sit in Judge Resnick's booth).

In Frederiksted: Blue Moon for the live music. Sunset Grill for brunch or afternoon drinks on the beach.

I agree on Pleasants. Don't get a double hamburger unless you intend to share it with another person. I think a single patty was about a half pound. Great "bar food" like sandwiches, chicken strips, onion rings etc.

Oh yes, they did have an ongoing SPECIAL with Bud or Bud Lite for a buck a bottle or a Cruzan rum and Coke for a buck fifty.
