Hello! My husband and I will be arriving in St Croix on May 8 through May 13. Would like to know if anyone would like to share the expenses to secure a fishing boat will another couple/or two. We have done this in the past on other Caribbean islands and it made it so much more fun and helped on the cost. We will be staying at the Buccaneer Resort and this will be our first time to this island. Any info on a good fishing charter company to book with once we are there would be greatly appreciated. Also, love to snorkel! Beside Buck Horn Island(already booked), are there any other good snorkel sites? Are there any "must do" suggestions in order to enjoy the island.I must admit, I love to chat with the local people and learn to enjoy the true culture of an island. Thanks!!
Bev
The concierge at the Buccaneer can assist with fishing charters.
Have you rented a car? If not I suggest Judi of Croix ( http://judiofcroix.com/ ). That way you'll easily be able to go around island and find all of the great snorkeling places.
You mentioned loving to talk to local people. Check out http://www.stcroixscuba.com/restaurants.htm to find some great ideas for restaurants. Go sit at the bar and chat - people are usually very friendly.
We haven't been out on a fishing charter but have met Capt Carl of http://www.fishwithcarl.com/ and we've heard good things about him.
