Good article re dining in St. Croix in the October issue of Carribean Travel & Life magazine. The article featured Savant, Rumrunners, Villa Morales, Bacchus, Harveys, and a few others. Happy to see some positiveness about my favorite island.
Yea! Thanks for posting this! We are looking for a restaurant to spend either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day dinner... I'm wondering how much the island "shuts down" for Christmas....
From what I've been told, it's pretty lively during the holidays since it's the "season." It will be my first Christmas and New Year's there so I am really excited. If you get a chance check out the article. I was happy to see it. I have eaten and several of the restaurants mentioned except bacchus and villa morales which I will be sure to check out this time.
TXgal,
Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year in the USVI so everything is open but it sounds like you're asking specifically about Christmas Eve/Day dinners and you may find that some restaurants close so their employees can spend the holiday with their families. If your desired restaurants will be closed you can check with resort restaurants, which usually remain open but might require a reservation at Christmas.
