Hello,
I'm planning a trip to St. Croix in mid June, 2006. We're staying at the Divi Carina Bay. I'm looking for feedback from anyone who's stayed there. I'm also looking for any "tried and true" activities, especially for children. Thank you!
Snorkling Trip to Buck Island
Driving range at the Reef Golf course
Tennis again at the Reef
Crab races on the boardwalk
Take the seaplane to STT for the day. Kids probably won't be interested is shopping, but flying on the seaplane is an experience.
Exploring the many beaches. STX is quiet, beach time and snorkling are going to be a big part of your activities. If the kids are old enough try getting them dive certified and go scuba diving
Enjoy your stay.
Jim
For your kids (and you) I would add the beer drinking pig in the rainforest (trust me, it's a lot of fun and not tacky, no matter what it sounds like) and perhaps horseback riding, either on the West End with Paul and Jill, or on the North Shore with Equus. Don't miss the crab races - great prizes.
I just returned from St. Croix..........love Divi as will you and your family.
Good news - they now have the crab races right at Divi! Tito and Sue run them and they are a fun time for all ages and GREAT prizes.
Also - two restaurants outside of the resort for you would be Cheeseburgers and the South Shore Cafe. Both are not too far from Divi and well worth a visit.
St. Croix is EASY to get around - a rental car is a must, but you will drive on the left side of the road.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
