i'm trying to plan my spring break right now for me and my boyfriend and I just wanted to know if I was on the right track by choosing St. Thomas. We definitely are not the typical spring breakers wanting crazy party life, but we do enjoy having a drink and enjoying a dinner. We just want to get away and relax but still be around a crowd of people. Have I made the right decision in choosing St. thomas? Also I want to spen around 700 a piece. Should we go with a hotel not on the beach or do we have a chance of finding something there? And is it cheaper to go all-inclusive? Thanks-

Cassandra: I would not recommend all-inclusive if you like good food! St Thomas is not Cancun or "Wild On" anything, but there is usually a good time to be had! Have you looked at Bolongo Bay? It is on the beach, casual, has a great beach bar and water sports, is half way between town and Red Hook for your evening activities. I think they are pretty reasonable, not fancy!

Ditto what Eastender says. All inclusive is not the way to go. But St,. Thomas is agreat way to go.

How adventurous are you? And how outgoing?

There are always great people on St. Thomas willing to let people couch surf.

That's how I lived for weeks when I first moved there and didn't know a soul.

I hope you have a great time!!!

I wouldn't do AI either for one huge reason- you won't use much of it. There's so much more to do on St. Thomas than staying at the resort and you'll rarely be there to eat. Besides, get out there and enjoy everything the island has to offer.
