Here's the situation-our flight number and time has been changed from St. Thomas to Ft. Lauderdale. Prior to this we had selected our seats for both coming and going. We have to now choose those seats on the segment that was cancelled but we are not able to do that.I can select from the available seats and when you hit next it goes to some computer stuff about an error. Has anyone expierenced this before with Spirit and I know that the email address has been posted before but I am having trouble finding it.

What I've found with Spirit are cheap flights and poor service.

We booked thru the internet specials one leg to FLL then another to Atlantic City. The woman at the service counter in STT would not check our bags all the way to our destination because she said company policy was to not do that if the tickets weren't at the exact same time. She told us (complete with obligatory head roll) that we would have to get off the plane, wait for our bags, then wait in line to check in and then go thru security again to catch our connection! Ridiculous and untrue, as we found out on our return flight home. This was all after we pre-paid for our check-in luggage.

Luckily, we drove and parked there at the airport and ended up buying some of the ugliest bags I've ever seen to reduce our luggage and add to our carry on. We ditched half our clothes and I couldn't bring back any rum... We did have to switch terminals and go thru security again, but could have done so with much less carry-on. Our four year old was a trooper, but the day was still stressful enough for us to ban Spirit.

As far as your seat assignments go, I'd count your blessings if they didn't over-book the flight and you get home on your scheduled day.

Well, things worked I found a web site with some reallllllly good connections to Spirit. Dialed up one of them got an agent on the phone who reset something which enabled us to book those seats. His name was Phillip and was very cooperative-thank goodness because I was in a panic after reading all of the negative things about Spirit. So we are good to go.

We're having the same problems... We booked to STT from ATL thru FLL and had already selected seat assaignments, then started getting e-mails saying "Your Travel Plans Have Changed." The only change was the seat assignments. The first two legs now show no seat assignments, and the last two show duplicated seat assignments... There are four of us going, and the e-mail says two of us will be in seats 4E and the other two in 4F. Glad the flights aren't any longer than they are or my wife's legs are really going to be hurting, what with me sitting on her lap all the way down!!

I've gone to Spirit website to try to re-assign the seats, but keep getting the error message noted above. I called their 800 number and finally got a service rep, but she also got an error message and told me to "wait 24 hours and try again." Well, that was the other day, and since then I still can't get the website to accept my entries, and can't get anyone to pick up at their 800 number (on hold for ever)!

So where did you go to resolve your issues? How do I reach Phillip? Thanks!!

Sorry to hear of your problem. The easiet way to get these numbers is type in the Google space : spirit airlines email address, when that comes up scroll to the bottom til you see elliott.org. The numbers are listed there. When I got through I was put through to a ticket agent and he was able to reset the site where the seat assignment was, took him about 2 minutes. Insist that this be done for you and that you know of someone else that had the same problem and that they were able to remedy it. Good Luck!
