Spirit just announced a 2 for 1 sale...it started today July 25 and ends Wednesday, July 26 at 11:59 P.M.

We just booked flights for $286. round trip + $60. taxes...total $346. each (Atlantic City, NJ to STT in September).

In October we'll get vouchers for a free trip....that works out to $143. round trip from NJ (plus taxes)....not bad.

There are other cities to choose from.

Hope this helps others.

F.I. Great tip. Does the free trip mean that you get a free trip up to the cost of the frst trip? I am wondering because Spirit's fares tend to be all over the map, sometimes prettty high out of A/C to STT (at least when I have checked). This fare you got is a good deal, but I wonder if you will wind up paying more out of pocket to get the second trip if the fares go back up. Or, do you just get a voucher for another trip to STT for free....regardless of the fare at that time? If the latter is the case, that is an awesome deal!

September is just around the corner! Enjoy.

Blu:

Yes, the voucher will be in the amount that we paid for the airfare ($286. each). It can be used for any transportation via Spirit. If, next winter the round trip fare to STT is, say $350., then yes we will need to pay a little extra. But, it's still like getting a free ticket....especially since we can schedule our flights whenever the fares are good.

Our last trip via Spirit in March (Atlantic City to STT) was $89. each way plus taxes. This fare (if we get the same fare for the second trip) will cost us $71.50 each way.

Good deal F.I. Even if the fares are high this this winter, you'll still pay $286 less than everyone else, which will be a good deal.

I've not yet flown Spirit out of A/C but I hear it is a breeze! No mammoth parking lot, (Free parking?), no long security lines, nice, small, easy. Nothing like Philly or Newark.
