I have a unique request. I'd like some advise on my 1994 Mitsubishi expo. The gas indicator and the temperature gauge do not work. So I took apart the entire dash to see if there were some wires no connected. What a mess. I got the main area off and then felt that it might be the ground. So I took of the ground and cleaned it up. Put everything back together and the same result. No readings. Any one have an idea on how to solve this? I was thinking of just getting a new gauge and mount it below the dash.

So any other ideas?

I will qualify this suggestion by stating that I have never owned a Mitsubishi.

Have you checked the wiring harnesses and connectors in the dash or at the firewall where these two guages might share a common plug?

If you can get to the wires on the gas tank sending unit check the continuity (ohms) If you get no reading sending unit may be bad.
