Hello All....
I'm seriously considering the USVI this May and am curious to know which resorts in St. Thomas have some good off shore snorlkeling? I know some might not copmpare to say some of the nice beaches I've been hearing about (i.e. Trunk, Cinammon, etc.) but I would like to stay at a resort where the water is pretty calm and I can do some snorleking if I choose at the resort. The three I was looking into were...
WYNDHAM
SAPHIRE RESORT
MARRIOTT FRENCHMANS REEF
Any thoughts on these resorts?? Thanks for the input.
Hello Vegas M
There are sooo many great beaches for snorkeling but I like Sapphire and Coki..... you MUST try Trunk Bay and Hawksnest too. You can't go wrong with any of these. I'll be returning to STT this summer, it can't come fast enough.
Enjoy

saphire or secret harbor is where you wanna be from what you are posting
The Wyndham has a very small beach and a very rocky entry. We stayed there and only went to their beach one time last year! It was a good starting point for the children to give it a try. Agree that a trip to St. John for the day (or two!) is a must!
I would have to concur - Sapphire or Secret Harbour. The Marriott doesn't have a beach, but Morningstar next door does, and it's not that great a snorkel.
