Dear islander,

I will only be in St Thomas one day the April and would like to go snorkeling, could you tell me a few of the best places?? I would love to see sea turltles or sea horses.

If you want the most bang for the buck go to Coki.

Mary Ellen: Go to Coral World, next door to Coki. You can see both sea horses and turtles. Then you can snorkel at Coki! Not much chance of seeing sea horses in the wild, unfortunately.

There are seahorses on the west end of STX in the area of the pier. I've seen one -- very exciting.

I snorkeled Coki beach. Kids loved it. We then went to Maegans Bay. My wife loved the beach. I saw a huge turtle. Snorkeling was not great there; however my wife loved the beach!
