We will be traveling with some family that does not have snorkel equipment. I have my own and bring it along every trip so have never rented on island. I have advised them to buy a moderately priced set at home, but is there anywhere on STT that rents equipment for the week if they don't want to buy? We are staying at Frenchmans Cove and they do not have a rental guy on the beach any longer.

I would call and ask if they offer complimentry snorkel gear at Frenchmans Cove. We provide all of our renters with snorkel gear and a cooler for the beach at no charge.

If you want to rent try Aqua Action at Secret Harbor - I know for a fact that they completely clean the masks, snorkels and fins after each rental. I would hope that other places do the same but I couldn't vouch for it.

The Cove doesn't have any comp sets or even rentals any longer. Used to have rentals, but the beach shack and beach shack attendant is gone. I have always had my own and the last time we went the couple we traveled with had their own as well. This time its the inlaws and they don't have any. My hope is the folks at Morningstar beach have sets for rent for the week. Other than that we may be stopping by kmart to buy a set or two!

Hello Schnell,

Morningstar had them last year; snorkel gear set $10 for guests and $15 for non-guest. That was for the day, didn't catch whether they had weekly rentals. Try contacting some of the Dive Shops/Operators on St. Thomas; they may offer weekly rentals.
