One last question and I am on my way. I have two types of fins that I can bring to snorkel. I have the turbo's you are supposed to wear with neoprene boots that we used to dive with { I am only snorkeling on this trip} and I have duck feet. which are smaller but weight wise are the same or heavier. Any suggestions or preferences?

Thanks and a big thank you to all who have answered so many of my questions. I cannot wait to see STJ and STT.

Hello Shauna,

Either will work... packed whichever takes up less space in your luggage and/or is most comfortable.

Hi Shauna,
I suggest you might be comfortable taking the fins with the booties, especially for St John. Some of the best snorkeling is at Haulover Bay and the beach is coral rubble so getting in can be difficult without booties. But, all the rest of the snorkeling spots on St John are beach entries so you may be just fine taking only the fins without the booties. Depends on whether you plan to go to Haulover, (my favorite place there).
