Last summer we discovered "Little Magen's Bay" which was litterally uninhabited on week days, except for the 'lifeguard'. We were told it was goingt o be run by Magen's Bay people, and restrooms and concessions would be added. Does anyone know if this has been done yet? We will be there in less than 2 weeks, and it will be the first beach we will head to. Thank you for your reply. Caroline
I think you're maybe confusing Little Magens with Lindqvist/Smith Bay Park which are entirely separate. Lindqvist on the Smith Bay Road has been purchased by the VI Government and is under the control of the Magens Bay Authority. A lifeguard and security are present during its opening hours and there is a small entrance fee. No concessions there as yet and just portable toilets but plans are to "develop" it further in the future.
Little Magens is a relatively isolated beach on the Peterborg peninsula, reachable via a trail off the Peterborg road. The two have no connection with each other. Cheers!
If there was a 'Lifeguard' at Little Magens it must have been an interesting sight - considering the usual lack of attire on that beach! Sandals, a smile and a whistle maybe??
The life guard might nhave been there to see that the bathers has NO CLOTHES on!
But I think that she was talking about Smith Bay Park and to those who know better it is Linquest beach.
And everything that was said earlier is correct.

You guys are funny. But now that you have set me straight about THE Little Magens Bay, I remember where and what it is. Have you been there? I thought about swimming over there from Magens. Is that possible? Thanks for the info! 😉
Fairly easy swim - some snorkeling and actually you can walk in sand well over half way.
And the folks at Little Magens who eschew swim wear tend to be the ones who would benefit most from wearing some.
Isn't that always the way it is? The folks you think you might actually LIKE to see naked never are!! lol
