I am already looking for a return trip!! We absolutely LOVED it!!
You know it's truley paradise when I felt comfortable in a swimsuit!!
I love going places these past few days, & EVERYONE says..."Where have you been...you are sooo dark!!"

I booked thru Travelocity what I thought was a condo unit on Sapphire Village. Got to the airport & called the Antilles rep who sent me to the "C" building at Sapphire beach. I was NOT gonna complain!! It was soo much more than I could have imagined!! I never wanted to leave the beach!! Our place was on the ground level steps from the ocean!! What a great place!! Never even locked the patio doors at nite. Left them open to get as much ocean breeze & sounds as we could soak up!

Driving was **interesting**. I took both of us to drive. Todd drove, I navigated the pot holes & curves!! Then the last nite there, a local backed into the rental car. Little dent...but a miracle happened...the next morning, the dent had poppped out itself, so just some minor scratches left to show Budget!! We did get to 'chat' with "Henry" while waiting for over an hour for the police to arrive. He told us they have a different police to handle just the traffic stuff. I questioned if they had to fly him over from one of the other islands!!

Thanks to Marty, his wife Tiffanie, & his friend Jeff!!! Jeff re-newed our wedding vows the nite before we left. Then as Jeff did it for a couple that happened to walk by, I videotaped it & we took picture so I can send to them out in Colorado. (never before met these people) And we met Marsha & her husband for the Wednesday nite Happy Hour at the Paridise Point. Very fun up there!!

I can't believe how spectacular the pictures are coming out that I took around the island! I shoulda taken more!

We did ~save~ a couple things to do for next time. A BVI boat tour....Trunk Bay...the north end of St. Thomas.....BOB..and Todd **needs** another fish plate from Coki Beach ...real soon!!

I do have one complaint tho...after walking up those 99 steps,(oh yea...it's more than that!!), only to get to the very top to check out Blackbeards tower, to find out you have to pay $10 for a walking tour. I relly think they need to put that in their ads, AND on the bottom of the steps!! I almost lost my life walking up there....for nothing!! We did meet a couple from Minn. that was staying there, offered to use their key to get us in as their guests to take a peek around! But I had noting left in me to turn around & go back up...even if we were only 1/4 way back down!!

What I really need to find is a CD of the Regae Christmas music from the islands! I'll trade...a cheeshead for a CD!!....anyone??

Sorry for the "book"...but you asked!!

Didn't we have a hoot at your "wedding"?!? Was that other couple liquored up, or what? Haha! And the music at Paradise Point...fantastic!! Your new ring and ear-rings? I made sure hubby got a good deal from Sean for your ear-rings!

I didn't mention that cuz I didn't want everyone here get too jealous of us!!

Yup...hubby wouldn't have gotten me anything if it were'nt for you...THANKS!

I am still looking for the recipe for "Nooner" and I still am lookin for a Carribean Christmas CD!

Yup...I watched the tape of the other couples wedding vows, ans they will be a bit impressed when I send it to them! It's always fun to see your behavior on tape when you aren't sure what you acted like after a few!!

I just talked to the owner of New Horizons, and she gave me the "Nooner" recipe. She makes it by the gallon, so adjust as you se fit:

1 - #10 can of Pineapple Juice (I think it's 46 fl oz)
1 - Sm. can of Coco Lopez (I think it's 10 fl oz)
1/2 - bottle of Midori (750 mm)
1/2 - bottle of Dark Cruzan Rum (MUST be Cruzan Dark)
1 - bannana

Blend in a blender and enjoy!!! I like to top mine with grated nutmeg!!

You're the best Marty!!
I will have NO problem makin' by the gallon!! What's Coco Lopez & Midori? My oldest son Nathan's girlfriend works at a Liquor store, so I'm sure she will find whatever I need!

Now 'bout that CD?

"Midori" is a melon flavored liquer. Easy to find. Coco Lopez is cream of coconut, and is readily available at many grocery stores, Stateside. If you can't find it, use any other brand, or get coconut flavored rum...that works, too.

Call Sean at the Pirate's Chest, and he can probably get you the CD you want.

P.S. Nathan's girlfriend? She's OK, yes? It's the daughter's boyfriend that we don't like, right? Or am I thinking of the wrong couple (I know too many people! Haha!)?

Seems we have some problem gettting dark Rum here....can you believe that! I shoulda brought it back with me...but Nathan is alot like you...he owns this town, & he can get me anything!

Yup, Nathan's girlfriend Juli is OK....just wish they would get married now!
It's Stephanie's looser boyfriend that I DO NOT LIKE!!
I'd like to bring them all down, but come back with one less!!
Stephanie has voiced some interest in moving down there to start a new life....but she can't seem to get rid of that pain in her life!

Haha! I can't believe you left this island without Cruzan!!!! Haha! OK, Sitter (Pam? Tam? Haha! ), I guess you can use another dark rum...but JUST THIS ONCE!!!! Haha! Try dark rums like Black Seal, Appleton's, even (God forbid) Bacardi, etc.

And Steph's BF is a pain in WHO'S life?!? Haha!

Can't wait to see you two again!!

How do I post pictures?

Stephanie's boyfriend is a pain in most people's behind!!

My father is making me plan a trip back to Hawaii for him & my sister....he asked me to go along.....I'd rather wait & go back to St. Thomas instead!! I've been to Hawaii in Feb. & it was ok to see all the 'site's' that everyone needs to see there, but I have no interest in returning there. I'm trying to talk him into going to the USVI instead.

Hey Sitter!

You can post pics thru a lot of online photo albums. Some free ones I know of are snapfish.com and shutterfly.com . You can do a search for sites also.

Ok...hope this works so you all can see some great pictures of St. Thomas.
This is the page where you can view the pictures from Shutterfly as tam said!

http://www.shutterfly.com/account/userhome.jsp?

I've done the copy/paste from this, & it worked...so have fun! They seem to look a bit darker than actual, but you'll get the just of them.
