*My family of 4 will be visiting St. Thomas this month. We will be staying at the Wyndham. We are hoping to find a resturant that has shows with steel drums, limbo, things like that. Can you suggest any?
Thanks for your help,
Kathy
Kathy,
You are in luck. I understand that the Wyndham Sugar Bay has an excellent show that includes Mocko Jumbies and other cultural delights from Carnival. Check with the hotel staff re. nights, times, etc. Have fun!
Does the Wyndham have this show all of the time? We will be visiting in July. Thanks!
Ok, I called and was told that the show is on the water at Sugar Bay EVERY THURSDAY EVENING starting at 9pm. This is year-round.
I know one of the mocko jumbie artists and she says it is a really good show.
Happy Carnivaling!
Hello Kathy,
Also-
Bolongo Bay usually has a limbo, fire-eating, steel pan music and mocko jumbie plus Caribbean Buffett type event on Wednesdays at around 6:30pm
Emerald Beach has something similar at their restaurant on Fridays. Same time.
Frenchman's Reef used to have something on Fridays but not sure if they still do. And Sapphire used to have something on Saturday nights.
On Sunday afternoons at Sapphire there is live music from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.
Have a great time.
