My husband visits this one forum where they all usually show pictures of their cars. Someone posted the idea of everyone showing their face. I am real curious as to what all of you look like. If we know what each other looks like, we may find each other on the islands. I will have to find a recent picture of myself and get it on Photobucket. I just posted one from about 1 1/2 years ago on the honeymoon hotel thread.
I think this will be a fun post. I'm ready for some more fun.
Show us what you look like! 🙂
Thanks Terri you got me crying at my desk. this forum is my escape to forget for awhile.
Indeed, this post is my escape to forget about the work I'm supposed to be doing right now. Sure hope Big Brother isn't monitoring my internet history.....
Waterguy - you always seem so upbeat and positive in all your posts. I'm glad you shared the pic of the 2 of you. My husband's first wife died at the age of 33 of pancreatic cancer, leaving behind 3 boys (one just 6 weeks old). I knew them before it happened and how hard is was for him. But that was almost 20 years ago, and we've been married almost 18 years. In fact, the #24 in my pics posted above is that sweet little 6 week-old she left for me to raise and now I'm getting all teary eyed so I'll have to stop rambling on but just thought I'd say that there are others who know what you're going thru. God bless you.
I'm glad that my boy's got know their mother she was a wonderful person. She held on to hear that our youngest made the Olympic team we found out at 4 in the afternoon and she died the next morning at 5. That is why he can't go to STJ with us this year he is out in CO at the training center. I know she will be sitting next to me when we go to the world championships this summer.
Waterguy, so cool about the olympic team!!! Okay, we need details... did I miss this earlier? What sport? How wonderful for all of you to look forward to.
You know, Water, I've gone to STJ during the best periods of my life. It's also the place I sought some refuge and comfort during the darkest period I hope i will ever have to know. There was just nowhere else where i could bear what I was having to cope with. It didn't help me to forget, but It helped in the healing. It's a good place. It's a deep place. There's a lot of history there and some of it is unfathomably sad. There's a whole lot more going on there than the party.
Touching words, Lex.
Waterguy, so glad she was able to hold on long enough to hear that wonderful news about your son. You must be so proud of him. Congratulations to him.
Lwx thanks for the kind word I hope the island works it's magic for me. Our son is a rifle shooter you don't get to see much of that sport on TV when he was chosen he was the most excited about getting to wear the Stetson you know the the big white hat they wear for the opening and closing ceremonies.
My office
i'm on the left but wish i was on the right! dive instructor on coki come see me if you want to dive.
So glad you are the one on the left, Travis. Otherwise, I would forever have to skip past your posts for fear of the thought of those trunks. Is that Lily Pulitzer design? LOL - hilarious!
Dean-O - that's a great picture! Big Hat - can I come work for your firm? I need an office like that!
My Mom and I on her last visit back in October '06
Here I am last October, fearlessly (for me anyway - Captain Pat looked scared!) piloting the Ike Witt!
Hubby & I in Stanley Park, Vancouver, prior tou our Alaskan cruise 🙂
Does anybody know if I can post a picture from kodak.com? Love this thread and would like to post a picture of us.
I'm normally behind the camera. The only pictures I have of me are taken at BBQ competitions 🙂 Here I am after winning 2nd place in the Anything But category at the Racine, WI Zoo-B-Que last summer.
Kids... If you see this man on the beach, run! 🙂
My clan. One A&M grad, one UT freshman...both priceless (as is the woman who shares them with me).
Our first time alone on STJ this July, a honeymoon after 28 years!
