If you're speaking of St. Croix, there are a couple of good places for shore diving, Cane Bay being the best. Also the pier at Fredriksted.

Coki Beach is known for shore diving. I still think that Chris Sawyer (www.sawyerdive.vi) does the best job on St Thomas and his boats are no-hassle!! (Plus you don't get all that sand all over everything!)

Hull Bay is another great shore dive. Just go to the east end of the beach and swim out towards the point. You have to go out about 100 yards before getting into the neat coral and fish. There's a great little dive shop there at the Hull Bay Hide-A-Way too if you want to go out with a group or want to get certified.

you can also shore dive off of secret harbor, but you have to swim out a bit to get to anything good or deep. i so have to second east ender on the chris sawyer dive center, thier boats are well organized, fun dives. and they have great local prices there too. 7777408. coki is a fun dive too, especially at night time. i have seen a couple sting rays, tons of conch, and hermit crabs, and a huge turtle. its a way fun night, and day dive. good luck
