Hey guys, im going to be in St. Thomas next week!!!!!! As a shopohalic, I just wanted to know what various types of stores they have. Do they have stores like Gucci, Fendi, ect. . . or is it more of seashell shops and homemade crafts. Places to shop will be helpful.
If you click on the St.Thomas link at the top of this page, and from the drop down menu, choose SHOPPING....I think you'll find the answers you need.
Ha, ha! Seashell shops are around and native crafts, too, but most of the stuff is imported- on Main Street you will find jewelry, liquor, electronics. On the Waterfront and Palm Passage area, clothing stores abound. For jewelry, know your prices. You can get good deals, but caveat emptor!
Hello Kelsey,
You will enjoy shopping on St. Thomas... lots of shops... there are "touristly" shops with t-shirts, postcards, seashells, globes with little palm trees inside.... and there are other island souvenirs also like hot sauces, rum cakes, locally made oils ect. Then you have the majority of shops the jewerly, alcohol, electronics, perfume shops.
Just decide to spend a day in town and another in Havensight might also do Cruz Bay on St. John. Three days of shopping - whooo hooo. The fun of it is to walk around and go into stores see what they have, go to the next, go down the alleys and check it all out - expecially since you like shopping.

OH! Hearing everyone speak about all the shopping in St. Thomas I am so excited to come in May! I am just worried how I am going to get everything home. 🙂 Maryann
lots of great shopping. try cruz bay in st john and american yacht harbor in red hook. found neat stuff at dolphin dreams boutique. they had a great selection of caribbean hook bracelets. the surf hut had a big selection of surf wear - and were really nice people. if you like ice cream try coldstone ice cream right next door to surf hut. REALLLLLy good shakes and stuff.
