Does anyone have any experience with shipping bikes to STX? Lead time, costs, reliablity.of carriers? The bike is for a triathlon, so renting on the island is not an option. Thanks much!

You might check with the organizers of the event. I know many participants do ship their bikes. Some also bring them as luggge on the plane.

Thank you very much. Apparently, some airlines have started to charge extra for a bike, even if it is replacing one of the permitted pieces of luggage.

Seems like if golf clubs would suffice as a piece of luggage, a bike might too.
