Hi everyone,
My husband and I will spend a week from May4th to May11th in STT. We would love to have a dinghy day trip. However we did not have boating experience and would like to share the dinghy rental with people with boating experience. We can share the rental cost as well. We are flexible with date, so any day when are in the island will be good. We stay at pleasant point resort.
Thank you and please reply to [email protected] if you are interested in sharing the rental.
Thank you!

Hang

if you are looking to rent the dinghy from noahs little arks, you don't need boating experience at all. they will show you a 15 minute video and explain how to do everything. you can contact low key water sports to book as well. i did this for the first time with a group of friends and we have absolutely no boating experience. it is A LOT of fun! if you do the full day you can go all the way to waterlemon cay and then make sure your way back by stopping at all the beaches.

they also have a half day option as well. hope this helps.

I want to walk to the beach. Would you please let me know which beach is within walking distance to cruz bay?
If I take taxi to trunk bay, whether there is any beach close by that I can walk to?
Thank you!

happy: I am gathering you are asking about taking a ferry to St John and going to a beach. You can hike (on a trail) from Cruz Bay to Salomon Beach- about 15-20 min. If you take a taxi to Trunk Bay, you will be at the beach!

Re: dinghy rental- I don't know of any for exploring on St Thomas, although there are a couple of cruise ship guided tours. Houstola is talking about rentals on St John and limited to the north shore of St John. You can also try to get some people interested in renting a power boat for the day. This would take you a lot farther than a dinghy would.
