Hi, I am looking at Secret Harbour Resort for my honeymoon next spring. Has anyone been there? Anyone have a review? If not, any suggestions on a nice resort that is beachfront?

Kelly,

My husband & I loved our 5 nite stay at Secret Harbour last April! We had a one bedroom beachfront suite. It was a complete condo unit. Full kitchen, dining, living room, bath & bedroom. It was like having your very own little house.

The beach is beautiful, tree-lined with tons & tons of lounge chairs & many hammocks. The view from the rooms & beach were lovely. I am not sure if any other resort has beachfront rooms that are as close to the ocean as these are.

Great restaurant & bar area.

The high point of this resort for us was the fantastic snorkeling right off the beach! It was amazing.

I am sure that other resorts probably have more nightlife & watersports. Secret Harbour had a steel pan band that played on 2 nites during our stay. It was very nice, but low-key. (Just the way we like it.)

Also, another huge plus is that Secret Harbour is located within 10 minutes of the Red Hook Ferry. So, access to St. John is very easy for a day or two trip over there. We also took a couple of boat trips with the New Horizons charters out of Sapphire Beach Resort, which was very close by, as well. Also, close to Marina Market - so you can get your own food & drink supplies.

We loved our stay & will be returning for a couple of nights next April (& trying out a villa on St. John for the rest of our stay).

If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask me.

Congratulations! And best of luck making your very important honeymoon decision!

Sue
