*I was in St. Thomas 11 years ago (to get married) and we stayed at the "Seahorse Cottages". Does anybody recognize that name and, if so, do you know if they still exist?
No, they do not exist under that name. An EDC company has purchased them and adjacent land. They hope to put a number of condo and villa units on the property. Currently, they appear to be using the space as offices.
Oh, THANKS for the information. That's too bad. I really wanted to go back. The lady even gave us the key to our place from 11 years ago. They say "You can never go back" but I think we'll to find a similar place. This board is very interesting. It makes me wonder how much things have changed in that short time. It's getting harder and harder to find "hiding places" on this planet! Hehe.
Anyway, thank-you very much for responding. My memories from St. Thomas and St. John are the BEST memories that I have.

http://www.paradisecovevirginislands.com/ This is the same location at the Seahorse cottages. Its about $600 per week more than Seahorse used to be. But it looks like they did a great job fixing up the rooms.
You might also try the website for Calabash Cottages. On STJ and very nice.
I have toured the newly renovated units at Paradise Cove (old Sea Hourse Cottages) as above mentioned and found them very nice.
Not sure that they are doing short term rentals, however, so best check with them if that's what you are looking for.
I was under the impression they were only doing long term rentals at this time but I may be wrong.
