I responded over on the TA forum as well.
It is a great house in a nice neighborhoof. The only thing that I would worry about is the construction at the nearby Pond Bay Club.

How loud is the construction and is the building going on down by the water? So the higher up homes wont hear as much?

I have no idea how the construction noise is, but I know that they have been working pretty furiously at it, so I would contact the onisland rep to find out.

I have never heard of a onisland rep before. Who are they and what do they do?

it would be the company that manages the villa. most villa agencies have on island offices and they are the most knowledgable about things like construction noise, weather, house condition, etc.

Talking to a booking agent in Ohio won't get you the best possible information, in my opinion.

So are these new villas going in or condos, apartments? My villa agent is on St. John not Ohio. If I mentioned Ohio I don't know why. My villa rental agent does not have to much info. on this project for me. So I'm not to sure if we want to rent the villa close by it. Just wanted to know if someone has first hand knowledge on the noise level or when the project will be done. But I don't think a project will deter me from visiting. I'm looking forward to it actually. Michigan is the pits in the winter.

I just used Ohio as an example.

The Pond Bay Club is being built in Chocolate Hole and while I have not seen it first hand since they broke ground last year, I know that there have been posts on other boards about the construction noise during the day. I am certain that it depends on the location and if you plan on spending time during the day at the villa. If you are going to get up early and spend the day out at beaches, then I would think you would have no issues.

Where are you staying?

We are wanting to stay at Molly's Cottage which is in Chocolate Hole. But I cant get any info from posts or pictures to see how close the villa is from the project. Yes ,we do like to just chill at the villa on somedays.. I have to keep looking and hopefully will find some info. on the distance from each other and the noise level.

I just checked the villa website for Molly's cottage and it does say that there is construction nearby. The folks at Carefree getaways are great, just give them a call.

Here is a quote from Tripadvisor from a couple who just returned from a villa in Chocolate Hole - I do not know if this is close to the villa you are looking at or not...............

"Villa Arcadia - nice villa in Chocolate Hole for a couple, overlooking the Pond Bay area (construction). Construction noise was unbearable so had to get out of the villa. Started at 715am and some days went on past 530pm (concrete pours). There were really only 2 days that we would have liked to just relax on the deck for the AM and read before heading out to beaches but noise was a factor so chose to leave early and read on a beach."
