Hi! We will be in St. Thomas end of June/early July. Looking for recommendations on the best scuba dive sites/operators. We are licensed, but would need equipment. Anyone have any info to share? Thanks!

I am leaving for St John in 1 week. I'm looking at LowKey and 6Paq. Others on this message board have recommended 6paq, but I think I might be going with LowKey. They have a coupon on their website and a 6 tank package for $200. I requested info from both operators and had a friendly reply email the next day from both.

Does anyone have opinions? good or bad...

You're staying on St. Thomas?

The dive operator we're going with next month is Chris Sawyer, out of Red Hook / American Yacht Harbor. I found very good reviews on scubaboard.com. I've read that the St. Thomas east end dive operators (like Chris Sawyer) tend to go to the same places as the St. John dive operators.

I have also read very good reviews on Blue Island Divers, which I read is located in Crown Bay Marina. I read Blue Island tends to go to more of the wrecks (e.g., WIT Shoal) and southern dive sites.

Chris Sawyer has a stellar reputation on STT. I guess I have nothing else to say!

Go with Blue Island if you want small dive groups and not being forced to stay with the divemaster or come up if when you still have plenty of air left like a lot of places. Plus they go to more sites then any of the other operations.
