Where are the best places to go? I want to be able to see a lot of marine life for scuba diving. Also I was thinking about doing some Deep Sea fishing. I'd like to hook onto some bigger fish. Is it any good off the shores of VI? I don't want to spend the money if it's not worth it. Thanks for any help.

After diving for years around the other VI's. IMHO the BEST diving around the Virgins, BVI included, by far is around St Croix!

Hello Pat,

Great diving and deep sea fishing opportunities in the VI. There are good dive sites off each of the islands. St. Croix's Wall is a popular choice and there are several ship wreck dives that are popular.

There are several deep sea fishing charters that can take you out from St. Thomas. Actually a few big fishing tournaments are coming up on St. Thomas in the next couple months; the Bastille Day Kingfish Tournament, July Open and the Atlantic Blue Marlin Tournament. There are also fishing charters from St. Croix but I have heard more about the fishing opportunities from St. Thomas then I have St. Croix.

Have you more interest in one of the islands in particular? Then we can make suggestions for particular locations around that island, as well as dive + fishing operators.
