On the back of my VI National Park Map, it warns to be careful of where you put your hands/feet while snorkeling at Francis Bay due to Scorpion Fish. Are these the fish that park themselves and look like a rock? Ive never read a report where someone encountered one so I'm curious. Have any of you ever encountered one?

Chrisn,

These fish do park on coral, sea bed, etc and are sometimes hard to spot. They are usually redish in color and can possibly make you sick if you get stung by one. I have some pictures of one if you would like to see them. You can pm me an email address and I will send them to you. My encounters have been in Cozumel.
