We are planning a family vacation for a week at Sapphire Beach Resort. We are trying to decide between a couple
different condo rentals and I hoping to get some advice.

First question, one condo does not include beach chair rental in their price. How much does it cost to rent a chair on the
beach...daily/weekly?

Secondly...one condo is located near the pool and the other is located 100 yards from the marina. Does anyone have any
suggestions on which location is better? We have two teens with us, 17 & 18 yr old. Hoping this resort is also a good location
for them as far as activities & people at the beach for them to mingle with.

Thank you.

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
We have been going to Sapphire. from NJ for about 4 years now and love it.( 11 weeks until our return but who's counting) Chairs are 7 a day per chair, so it could add up quickly. Check with the unit owner that does not cover chairs, they may have some within the unit for you to use. From your description it sounds like one unit may be in Bldg E and the other in Bldg C or D. We have stayed in Bldg E each time its a little further from the main beach area but there is a beach right in front (rocky) but nice. Either way you can't go wrong, if one of the units is in Bldg F that is a marina view and the view is not quite as nice in my opinion. The resort is in a great location, close to Red Hook for dining and the ferry to other islands. Most definitely rent a car if you can, taxis can add up very quickly, and while Sapphire is close to everything walking on those roads is not really advisable. Hope this helps, have a wonderful time.

I agree with Soxman. We stay in Bldg E, which is low and behold about 100yrds from the marina, and about 150yrds from the pool. The main beach is on the other side of the pool, so Bldg E is more private and quiet than the units directly in front of the main sandy beach (as seen on the beach cam). It's our favorite location (we will be there on Saturday) as the East End/Red Hook area is just minutes away, St. John is just a short ferry ride across, and if we want to go shopping, we just jump in the rental Jeep and head to CA.
