Planning a trip to STT.
Would love some feedback on this property.
I have read good and bad reviews online, but looking for more.
Any comments are greatly aprreciated. Thanks.

From what I've read, the restaurants are not that great but if you get a beachfront suite, it's worth the money. Especially this time of year.
I've actually already booked for 2nd week of September. When are you planning on going?
I've been looking online for things to do and places to eat.
There seems to be plenty of places in and around Red Hook.

The Sea Grape at Sapphire is not know for wonderful dining but there are many nearby restaurants and those in Red Hook that can offer good options. On the property there is the Azure for dinner which gets good reviews.

Hi There,

I happen to like Sapphire although it has been a couple of years since I have stayed there. I still go by every year and take advantage of the Sunday afternoon beach party. That still seems to be a good time.

The beachfront units at Sapphire are literally right on the beach. The front doors open onto a little porch and then the sand. You can literally stumble out your door into the morning and hit the sand and you're set for the day. The beach is one of the nicer ones on the island.

The outdoor bar is nice and large. There is a watersport concession there so you can get your wave runner. As already mentioned, skip the SeaGrape restaurant. But you are located out on the east end so you are close to lots of other choices for really good restaurants. Easy to get around, especially if you have a car.

Azure is great. The Sapphire people won't tell you about it, but it is by the pool, up the hill from the marina. Tons o' fun in Red Hook, from Duffy's to Sopchoppy's to Poor Man's to the Frigate...They are working on a Stone Cold Creamery so that there will be a place for ice cream, too!
