Has anything changed or been resolved at Sapphire
If you're referring to the restaurant/bar scene, it appears that the beach bar/restaurant may finally re-emerge as a viable operation but no details have yet been forthcoming. Between the runners from the Sapphire Village restaurant, the little beach set-up serving drinks and sandwiches and Senor Pizza delivering to the beach, people seem to be happy with what's available!
Thanks for the up date.
the beach rumor is that the same group behind east end, havana blue etc are the trying to get a deal together.

And the rumor is that the place is to be named, "Monopoly".
Thor the bar boy was amazing at Sapphire. I heard the East End Boys ran the beach grill/bar on Sapphire but if that's true I have to say the food was inferior to typical east end boys' norm. HAMBURGER ($14.00!!!) MADE ME SICK FOR HOURS.
Ruby, your information about the operation of the beach bar/grill at Sapphire was incorrect.
Good, glad to hear that -- because I loved all the East End Boys restaurants we tried while on St. Thomas. So who does run that concession at Sapphire Beach then?
the bannaa caban is run by Kevin who used to run ROBERTS and Anslies which are both closed. Rumor has it that the same east ens boys are going to take over that resort. Yes this is getting to sound like a broken record.

I'm rather sorry that the term, "East End Boys" has started to take on common parlance as it was an "in" thing coined by someone who thought it would remain an "in" thing but unfortunately mentioned it on an internet forum. It might have been me. Sigh.
I understand that the former "Ainsley's" at Elysian has already re-opened and that the former, "Robert's" will be open in a month or so. The former Blue Moon Cafe at Secret Harbour remains under construction. There is a temporary bar set-up and, when I went there the other day with some friends off a cruise ship just to show them Secret Harbour, the sound of the radial/table saw from the adjacent construction was tolerable until the blender chimed in right in front of us at the temporary bar and drowned out all attempts at normal conversation.
My cruise ship friend is severely hearing-impaired and became so frustrated at the whirring blender noise that she quietly took out one of her dual aids, placed it on the bar in front of the bartender and said, "I really have a problem with the saw noise in one ear and now the blender noise in the other. Can you move the blender further back?"
The response from the newbie bartender was, "Oh, you can't see that there's construction going on here? I can't move the blender, this is a temporary bar. At least one of the conglomerate was right there but said nothing. And they say nothing, period.
It will be most interesting to see how this money laundering scheme works out,
Karma is a bitch for true
You mean they are also going to be taking over the laundromat industry out East too?
@STT Resident--if you are going to accuse people in a small community of engaging in illegal activity, which is per se libelous, you should be willing to put your name on it and not do it anonymously behind a hidden email address. What an outrageous comment to make. As you are someone who clearly has more than a passing interest in this website, and as a regular commentator, you should know better than to publish something this irresponsible.
Karma indeed.
Too bad for Sapphire and the owners. The Sapphire property could benefit from the "Good Karma" this well managed (and YUMMY) successful restaurant group has spread to their locations. I can't wait to visit Secret Harbour once the contrsuction is complete and restaurant is fully open.
I have to agree, based solely on sampling several of the East End Boys' restaurants. None of them had anything to complain about and in fact, they ALL were marvelous. I love how they mix it up with all different types of restaurants. And I can't wait to return to the Elysian beach and try out all the new restaurants and bars.

A one-shot poster who doth protest too much methinks. 😀 Catch up with you in a couple of years if you're still around ...
I've watched these boys grow over the years and and build one amazing restaurant after another. They're such hard-working young men and as one who has known them for years, I can only say that they should be extremely proud of their accomplishments. Anyone who knows them knows that they're honest men and are only trying to build a wonderful future for themselves. If my children grow to be as dedicated and hard-working as these young men, I would be one very proud parent.
I agree with you -- if you have the drive to achieve and are able to do it better than the rest, then only the week and jealous will try to shoot you down. It wasn't their fault that Roberts and Ainsley's folded -- but they saw an opportunity and given their success and knowhow, it's not a surprise that they won those restaurants. I can't wait til next July to go back and try those restaurants out!
