Hey all,
I am looking to spend about 2 or 3 months down in Cruz Bay during the low season. I am looking at staying at Samuels Cottages ($800/month) or Tamarind Inn ($600/month). Can anyone give me some insite on these places? Thanks!

Well my thoughts on Tamarind its ok , and just ok , it all depends what your looking for. is for the price its not really that reasonable and if you really look hard you can find other places that will offer more space at a equal price , Star Villas is one . The breakfast is nice there and so is the atmosophere . it a locals spot. I was one .
As for Samuels cottages go much better bang for your buck . and still in walking distance. I would choose Samuels over Tamarind.

Yeah, I just finished looking at some more reviews of Tamarind and it wasn't rated as highly as I thought. : ( How far away is Star Villas from Cruz Bay?

Hi Its just up the hill from Gallows and thats right to your right side as you get off the ferry , up the hill a bit
To those who are not used to walking up hill there well it could be a chore , but if your adventerous and have a great spirit you can make the trek drunk . I have and was alone . in the rain. another story.
With Samuels you will feel like you have more privacy. The family who runs it is very nice. Also have you looked at The StJohn Inn?
