I'll be in St. Thomas for the week starting 10/2. Does anyone have a recommendation for a day sail/boat to take to the BVI during my stay? My father's friend who has a sailboat will not be back to the islands from hurricane season yet but I'm assuming a power boat would be a better option anyway? Any other activity suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I've taken the BVI trip on the Stormy Petrol. I have heard a lot of great reviews of other companies that also do daytrips over to the BVI's.
daytrip on Bad Kitty power catamaran is a good option.goes to Virgin Gorda for passports, baths, Norman Island caves for snorkeling, Cooper island for lunch at beachside restaurant, afternoon at beautiful White bay where you swim in to shore and back to your boat.. great day.
You will need to check on availability. I believe both Bad Kitty and Pirate's Penny (and possibly Stormy Petrel) are currently on land for hurricane/slow season. Don't know when they come back out.
I saw Stormy Petrol dry docked 2 weeks ago. Not sure if she is back in the water yet.
You can try contacting some of the charters listed on the activities page for BVI Charters. Hope you find one that is in the water and can accommodate you. Taking a charter to the BVI is terrific! Have a great time.
