I will in St Thomas in August with 10 other adults and would like to arrange for a half day boat trip for snorkling. Would it be better to charter our own trip or to simply sign on with a larger group. Any recommendations as to who to contact (preferrably via internet) would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Joe,

Often times private charters hold 6 max, there are a few exceptions. You can join a charter that takes other people also, but still not a huge group - those exist.

Try http://www.newhorizonsvi.com, they have a full day charter that you join with other groups/people. And they offer half day charters however your group would need to charter the whole boat - I believe. You might want to email them and ask questions about this.
