My wife and I are interested in taking a sailing trip in the VIs. However some of the rates are outrageous. Any of you locals know of a captain who would love to share his boat with a couple who can sail and are trained chefs who can also cook. Would appreciate any help.

Jim: You might want to contact a charter broker and talk about a captain only cruise. If you all sail, what about a bareboat charter? Ellen Stewart at www.stewartyachtcharters.com or Sherry Yates at www.yatesyachts.com might be able to get you on the seas.
